Most projects are scheduled annually between November and April and may involve large pipes on the beach, trucks moving sand, and other equipment to rebuild and maintain our dunes. Timelines and locations can shift without notice, and we are not always informed in advance. While we understand this may impact your beach experience, refunds or compensation will not be provided for disruptions related to beach nourishment. This is a common occurrence across the island as many visitors are getting ready for the day or returning from the beach. We recommend planning showers and other water-related activities accordingly to avoid inconvenience.Public Parking: The Town of Surf City enforces “Pay to Park” from March 1-Oct 31 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm in the Surf City Public Beach Access Parking Lots and other marked Public Parking Lots. The Town of North Topsail Beach will enforce “Pay to Park” from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM year-round. Onslow County operates three public parking areas/beach accesses within the Town of North Topsail Beach. To the best of our knowledge the county intends to continue operating these lots free of charge.Leave No Trace: Topsail Island enforces a "Leave No Trace" policy in order to protect our shoreline, meaning you must remove all items, including tents and chairs, from the beach each day. Any items left behind are subject to theft, removal by the town, or possibility of being washed away by the ocean.Turtle Nesting Season: From May to October, Topsail Island is a nesting ground for sea turtles. Beach access is just a short walk down the street, which made life easy, especially with young children. Everything about the house worked perfectly for us, with enough space for everyone. The only downside was having to pay extra for linens and then having to make our own beds. As a condition of check-out, all dishes are to be washed, dried, and put away; seems like the property would come with dishwasher cleanser, since this is a requirement of the guests. Also, having only x1 dish rag & dish towel is not sufficient for a house that can accommodate x10 people. The house itself was amazing with unbeatable views. The master suite is immense with great views from all sides. Nice balconies/decks on all levels and easy access. Also very easy access to the beach.
